Bamboo charcoal is a natural way and remove impurities from your water and make it suitable for brewing tea. Clean the bamboo first by either brushing with a stiff bristled brush (a new toothbrush is suitable, or you can also use your fingers to rub it down), rinse, and let dry. Once dry, the bamboo can be placed in your kettle (stovetop or electric) for boiling. Depending on how frequently you drink tea, it will last a few months before it needs to be replaced.
